CURRENT COD HOLDERS

Currently Lionheads are NOT a recognized breed. They are a work in progress. We are in luck though as a few breeders have fallen so much in love with the breed they decided to pull a Certificate Of Development (COD). Here is a List of the Current COD Holders:

1) Gail Gibbons with Chestnut, REW, Black Tort, Siamese Sable & Sable Point

2) Theresa Muller with Black, Chestnut, Tort, Blue & REW

3) Dawn Guth with Black, REW, Siamese Sable, Pointed White & SmokePearl 

4) Lynne Schultz with Chestnut, Sable Point, Blue Point, Blue Tort, & Orange

5) Lee A Nevills with Chocolate, Chocolate Tort, Lilac, Opal & Seal

6) Regina Mayhugh with Otter, Sable Marten & Smoke Pearl

7) Anita Moore with Chestnut, Chocolate Agouti, Black, Chinchilla & Squirrel

Each year the 1st Certificate Holder (Currently Gail Gibbons) will head off to the ARBA convention and present the breed in the colors they have chosen. The ARBA Standards Committee will then meticulously go over each rabbit and decide weather or not that color/breed will pass its presentation. You need three passed presentations before the breed is recognized.
